1962: Los Angeles City cross country champion

1963-65: Four-time All-America in track and in cross country

1969-70: Four-time NCAA All-America in 3-mile, 6-mile and cross country
1969: NCAA 3-mile champion
1970: Member of world record 10-man, 24-hour relay team; second in his first marathon run

POST – SCHOLASTIC
1971 : AAU All-America; won Western Hemisphere Marathon in state-record 2:15:21 time
1972-82: Participated in, set records in and won many other AAU events, marathons and California Fireman’s Olympics competitions

COACHING
1975: Head Ventura College women’s track and field team

COMMUNITY
1976: Opened The Athletes Foot in Port Hueneme, the first specialty running store in Ventura County
1979: Became member of Channel Coast Officials Association

HONOR
1983: Inducted into Humboldt State University’s Athletic Hall of Fame
