Born and educated in Fillmore.
Played four years on the Fillmore High School basketball team and one year on the football and track teams.
Upon graduation in 1905 he began five decades of officiating and worked more athletic events than any other person in County history.
A respected official in football, basketball, baseball, softball, and track.
Also officiated in collegiate games and professional football exhibition games.
Served as Secretary – Treasurer for the Channel Coast Officials’ Association, the Southern California Basketball Officials’ Association and Southern
California Baseball Officials’ Association.
