Born October 18, 1916 in Los Alamos, California.

Graduated from Santa Maria High School 1934.
Lettered in two sports at Santa Maria High School, football and track 1931-32-33-34.

Graduated from Santa Barbara State College 1939.
Lettered four years in football at Santa Barbara State College where he was an outstanding running back also competed in track and baseball.

Competed in amateur boxing starting in 1932 continuing though his tour of duty in the Navy.

Played on the Santa Barbara Athletic Club rugby team 1936-37-38.

COACHING CAREER
1940 Santa Paula High School Junior Varsity backfield coach.
1941 Wilson Junior High School in Oxnard, where he organized their first football program.
1946-49 Ventura Junior High School, grades 7-8-9-10. Head football and track coach. Football record: 23 wins 1 loss.
1950-62 Ventura High School head Varsity football coach.
1949-65 Ventura High School head varsity track coach.
1951 league champions in football.
1951 C.I.F. Co-Champions in football.
1954 league champions in football.
1955 League champions in football.

FOOTBALL RECORD 57 wins 41 losses 13 ties .573 percentage.

1951 Coach of the Year Ventura County League.

1981 Honorary Life Membership of the Southern California Football Officials Association.
