Buena High School Girls Basketball Coach & Athletic Director

Born February 21, 1944 in Ventura, California

Attended Ventura High School 1959-62

He was an all around athlete, excelling in each sport he participated in

Starting halfback on the sophomore football team

Ran the 100, 220 and relay in track as a sophomore and junior, also threw the class C shot put setting the school record in this event. Competed in C.I.F. meet both years he participated in track

Played basketball three years and was a starting guard as a senior for Coach Bob Tuttle.

First team All-Channel League in basketball in his senior year.

All tournament selection at Beverly Hills Tournament in senior year.

Played varsity tennis as a senior and won the Channel League doubles championship with Mike Sands.

Attended Westmont College on an athletic scholarship where he played basketball for four years.

Played basketball in Europe while in the Army (1969-70)

Played point guard for league championship team.

COACHING CAREER

Started coaching career with Boys Junior Varsity Basketball in 1967 at Buena High School compiling 145 wins and 51 loses in nine seasons

His teams won four league championships and four tournament championships
