Born April 14, 1894 in Alhambra, California
Lloyd Corser unselfishly devoted thousands of hours to the youth of Ventura County. He probably will be most vividly remembered by his many friends as Grandpa Little League. It was as a member of the Ventura Kiwanis Club that he became interested in the formation of organized baseball for youth in the area.
As a member of a three-man committee, he aided in obtaining a charter and starting Ventura County Little League with a four-team league in 1950. In recognition of his tireless efforts, Corser Field, a Little League baseball park at Blanche Reynolds School in Ventura, was named in his honor in 1958.
