Competed three years varsity tennis at Ventura High School, Ventura, California. Ranked as number one player, sophomore, junior, and senior years. Ojai Interscholastic Finalist, 1958. Ojai Interscholastic Champion, 1959. National Public Parks Doubles Champion (Noel Brown, partner), 1958. U.S.T.A. National Hard Court Finalist, Singles, 1959.
