Competed two years varsity football and baseball at Riverside High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Lettered in both sports his junior and senior years

Competed three years varsity football at University of Idaho. Nominated for All-America honors Earned Master’s Degree from Idaho in Physical Education

COACHING CAREER

Head coach in four major sports at Odea High School, Seattle, Washington

Line coach at Ventura College 1948-50

Head Coach at Ventura College 1950-52 — won the Elmer Prosser Perpetual Trophy in 1951 with a 21-6 football victory against Compton College

Coached baseball, golf, gymnastics, junior varsity basketball at Ventura College

Named Physical Education Department head at Ventura High School in 1953. Served as division head and department head for Ventura High School Intramural Department

Coached in all major sports programs from 1953 until retiring from teaching and coaching in 1979

Ran the City of Ventura’s recreational swimming program at Ventura High School

CIF, Western States Conference, semi-professional official in basketball, baseball, football, and softball from 1953-79
